FIRST SESSION · FREE TO ATTEND

From AI-assisted
to agentic.

A live introduction to AI coding agents for software engineers. Understand what changes when you move from asking for code to delegating engineering work.

THE PROBLEM WE START WITH

AI can write code. Can you trust the work?

You ask an assistant to fix a bug. The patch looks plausible, but it misses a project convention, changes unrelated behaviour, or never runs the test that would catch the mistake. The challenge goes beyond getting a better answer: the work needs context, boundaries, and a way to check the result.

This session introduces the engineering decisions behind useful coding agents. We’ll examine how delegation changes, where human judgment matters, and why the surrounding system matters alongside the model.

WHAT YOU’LL TAKE AWAY

A clearer way to approach the work.

  1. Recognise the shift. Understand the difference between a chat assistant, code suggestions, and an agent that can take steps toward a task.
  2. Separate the model from its environment. Identify how instructions, repository context, tools, and checks influence the result.
  3. Make delegation concrete. Describe a bounded task with clear constraints and observable acceptance criteria.
  4. Know what to verify. Look beyond a confident summary to inspect the changes and the evidence that supports them.

A PROBLEM TO THINK THROUGH

“Fix this failing test.”

An assistant can suggest a patch from an error message. An agent may inspect the repository, change code, and run a test. But what stops it from changing the test to make the failure disappear?

The useful questions are engineering questions: What behaviour must stay the same? Which changes are allowed? What evidence would show that the fix is correct? Bring that mindset to the session.

Is this session right for you?

It is designed for software engineers in India who already write code and want a more deliberate approach to AI-assisted development. You may have tried a coding assistant, or you may be deciding where to start. Prior experience building agents is not required.

Examples will focus on engineering workflows. This is an introductory session. Any preparation will be included in the schedule email.

ENGINEERING EXPERIENCE, SHARED

Led by an engineer with 15+ years of experience.

The teaching focus is practical AI-assisted development and agentic workflows: how to frame work, provide context, and check results. The aim is to connect new capabilities with the engineering judgment you already use.

What comes after the introduction?

The planned weekly series moves into coding-agent workflows, reusable procedures, tool use, agent loops, and reliability. The first session is free. Any pricing for later sessions will be shared separately before you decide to join.
